"This enemy gives very hurtful hugs!"

Teleports, steals shield and health attacks. The ??? blobs can be found orbiting the black hole in the Durian system, and around the far left and far right black holes in the Fulzar system. These are very powerful and dangerous enemies that use three attacks, Void Tentacles at short range debuffing energy resistance, a Chrono Beam that can kill most players in one-shot at long range and has a Vampire Bite which can kill players in less than a second. These attacks heal the ??? blob. The ??? blobs are also very fast and can easily catch most ships (Using their teleport ability) they can teleport in front of you. If you see the teleportation splash-effect in front of you, boost or turn quickly away. If a Blob latches on to your ship, shake and wiggle your ship quickly to get one off.

The ??? blobs only appear if someone has the mission to destroy the Renegade Science Vessel. When the mission is completed, the ??? blobs will spawn in Durian. Without the mission, they won't spawn. These blobs are also in Fulzar, already spawned at the two black holes (one at the left of the Aureus and one to the right to the Nezerian armies. These spawn without the need of a mission, but there is no nearby Safe Zone to help you, so this is recommended for higher level players only.

Because of its high resistances, you will need to use a weapon like Infested Missiles to debuff the blobs.

Strategies (These are SUGGESTIONS, it is not a must have to kill ??? Blobs, many set-ups may exist.)

Tutorial Videos: Eagle Eye Durian Blobs

Light Wave Generator: The key in this strategy is to use a cloaking ship, Nexar Shadow and Assassin-T29 work well. A dps of over 2 million on Nexar Light Wave Generator is a must, with Direct Damage ET. Void Tentacles with Extra Energy Resistance Debuff, Target Painter with Heal disable ET OR Plasma Blaster with Reduce Armor ET. Cloak with Decrease Cooldown ET. Shield ET is Increase Harden Shield Time. Power ET is Overcharged weapons. ET's should be at least 90 if not 100. To lure you will either need Nexar Projector or you can use Target Painter to lure. If you are using the projector, then get close to the black hole enough so you can see red dots on your radar. Next TAP the hotkey for the projector so that it shoots a for a very small distance. If the projector does not go straight and to the side then a blob is coming, if it however goes straight, then nothing was lured. Once you have one coming fire Plasma Blaster or Target painter to debuff healing and armor. Then debuff with Void Tentacles, and press R, then Q and fire the Nexar Light Wave Generator, once your Q is about to run out cloak and once the blob turns and is about to leave fire with Light Wave again. It should die before it can turn back toward you. The key in this set-up is to go glass, no resistances, 3 RoF and 2 Energy% damage. It can also be killed by first using a mid-long range weapon, (Target painter is fine.) Once you have one focused on you, as it comes towards you, shoot it with Concussion Sphere to debuff its damage. In order of attack: Target Painter, , Kinetic Phase Blade or Nexar Light Wave Generator or another high damage weapon. At least one million dps is HIGHLY recommended.

ET=Elite Tech

Kinetic Phase Blade: This is for any Nexar Blade(Ship) user. You will need Kinetic Phase Blade with Direct Damage ET. Infested Missiles with extra Kinetic Resistance debuff ET(Not really needed since the ???'s kinetic resists are at 135%). Void Tentacles with Extra Energy Resistance debuff. Target Painter or Plasma Blaster with Heal disable and reduce Armor ET respectively. And Nexar Projector. Luring is the same. Once you see the red dot coming fire as many rounds of your armor/heal debuff weapon, then fire Infested Missiles, and turn allowing the blob to start to circle you. Hit it with Void Tentacles, and while you're spinning around it, fire your Kinetic Phase Blade. The blob should die after a few seconds if you keep spinning with R boost. Again, fastest done with a glass set-up as the blobs tend to die faster.
