Background

The Baby Beetle is an enemy found in the Gellan systems. More specifically, the Zergilin and Hozar systems.

Zergilin: Outer withered roots in the Tufir system of Zergilin. Kuji system, around the planet Kuji and the outer withered roots.

Behavior

Regardless of being a Beetle in its early stage, the Baby Beetle is a fierce enemy. It attacks by using both a projectile weapon, as well as biting. When it spots a player, it will attempt to attach to the ship's hull, rendering most projectile weapons useless. In addition to its bite attack, the Acid Blaster-like projectile will not only cause damage, it will also do DoT (Damage over Time) which can be dangerous when you have low health. This is especially true when piloting the Police Ship, Police Pursuit P1, or P1 Pirate without any Armor, upgrades, or Artifacts.

Strategy

The key to defeating the Baby Beetle at low levels is to keep a safe distance due to the fact that it is usually encountered with other biological beings, and to use medium to long-ranged weapons. If the Baby Beetle manages to attach itself onto your ship's hull, you have two options;
1. Shoot it. The Baby Beetle will flee at low health and continue to attack from the distance.
2. Shake it off. This is accomplished by simply moving from side to side or doing sharp turns.
