"Sir, there is a mysterious enemy on the way, it looks... it looks... oh wait... Retreat! Retreat!"

The daemon, a mysterious enemy with shields and deadly corrosive teeth that somehow regenerate fast enough to be used as a weapon, can be found in Vibrilian, guarding the innermost planet named Ambrosia. It can also be found in Cynapsian, in planets named Efedrit and Elondrit.

Threat Level to players:
Below Level 20:
Extreme (avoid). Engagement is highly discouraged.

Level 20-30
High. Engagement should be done extremely cautiously and in a group if possible.

Level 30-40
Moderate. Engage with caution and pay attention to your health. Avoid packs of daemons.

Level 40+
Low. With upgraded stats and weapons, taking these out will not pose too much of a challenge. Activate your shields if they attack in a pack, or if a damage aurad daemon charges you.

The daemon attacks your ship in two ways:

1. By shooting it with a weapon that looks like corrosive teeth. The range is low-medium on the blaster.
2. By spraying a purple cloud behind itself, in a line that looks similar to Flame Trail; it does corrosive damage, but it may siphon your shields/health to replenish its shields/health.

Movement: The daemon moves at a medium speed once it sees your ship.

Tips for Destroying

The daemon has very high HP and a very high recovery rate (both shield and HP).

Once the daemon sees you, it quickly pursues you with its blaster. Lower level ships should avoid confrontation with the daemon at all costs. Avoid visiting Ambrosia until you are over level 20 unless you have a high-level friend that will assist in taking out the enemies.

After the daemon shoots a round of its blaster at you (estimated 4-6 seconds), it will break its pursuit and fly around in a large circle before deciding on a random direction to start spraying its purple acid trail. This is the key to destroying the daemon. Try to keep ahead of its blaster when it first attacks (use the boost and upgrade your engine on your ship). Players lower than level 20 will be quickly destroyed by the blaster if they get caught in both of the daemon's blasters (for less than 2 seconds). If you can survive the initial volley of one daemon, you will be able to just follow the daemon around and shoot it with the Acid Blaster. Try to stay behind the daemon and it should not shoot you. Keep your Acid Blaster firing at a fast enough pace so that your corrosive damage does not "expire" or else you will have to "stack" the corrosion on the daemon again. Due to the daemon's fast recovery rate, it will be a long fight if you cannot keep your acid blaster firing on the daemon (of course, give your acid blaster a short 1 second break every so often, so it can recover enough so you do not run out of power). Avoid flying into the acid cloud trail it makes because it is potent enough to kill lower level players quickly.

Since Ambrosia's guards also spawn locusts, it can be difficult to keep your fire on the daemon while trying to shake off and kill the locusts.

A level 34 player with 7247 shields, 6454 HP, and 146 armor can still be easily killed if too many daemons attack at once. With 75% all (or just kinetic and corrosive) resist and 150+ armor, daemons will no longer be dangerous at all. As long as you have acceptable weaponry, daemons will then become easy to kill.

Recommended artifacts for attacking this enemy: Corrosive Resist and Kinetic Resist.

Recommended weapons: Acid Blaster (level 6), Broadside (Level 6), Plasma Gun (Level 6), Gatling Gun (level 6).
