Overview

A weapon is an item that can be equipped and used for attacking or healing. All ships can have up to five weapons equipped and will start with a default weapon. You can gain additional weapons from a Weapon Factory, the Pirate Bay or from enemies that drop red crates. There are three types of damage a weapon can do: Corrosive, Energy or Kinetic damage.

You can increase the amount a damage a weapon does by upgrading it at a Upgrade Station. All weapons start at level 0 and can be upgraded to level 6. You may further increase weapon damage with artifacts.numbers on this Check the Elite Tech for the level 7 upgrades.

Skill points on weapons may not be very accurate due to newer weapons having much higher standards than older ones.

The following tables have information about weapons:

  • Name (weapon name)
  • Damage (overall damage done; 10 is max)
  • Range (shooting distance; 10 is max)
  • Refire (the speed at which the shots are fired; 10 is max)
  • Energy (how much energy is used; 10 is max)
  • Difficulty (how difficult it is to use the weapon; 10 is max)
  • DoT (Damage over time)
  • AoE (area of effect)
  • Properties (weapon details)
  • Source (where you can get the weapon)

Corrosive Weapons
Weapon Review
Acid Blaster.png Acid Blaster Acid Blaster, one of the most overlooked weapons at low levels. It can reach massive dot on very tanky enemies, allowing levels 20-70 to farm Renegade Tankers in Durian, it requires skill in flying as the Tanker can easily debuff your damage with one shot, ruining your DoT buildup for ten seconds. But very well worth it to farm them. Works well with Increased Attack Speed and Corrosive Damage % Arts.

Acid blaster was my weapon of choice to solo Dreadnaughts on a medic in combination with HKs. Long reach, high fire rates, nice with E-tech. Xticks 13:46, 26 July 2016 (CEST)

Acid spore.png Acid Spore It hits hard with impact and DoT, not great for PvE usage as the damage is too low to kill many of the Fulzar and Vorsran enemies with. Best Elite Techs would be Increase Debuff Damage. Thrives on Corrosive Damage % and Increased Attack Speed arts.
Acid Spray.png Acid Spray Acid Spray is a nice weapon to use for PvE as it has a cloud AoE, decent damage and moderate power usage. Extremely efficient in taking out large numbers of small weak mobs such as Locusts. Not a great PvP weapon as the weapon is hard to land on people, along with the low damage it does to 50% resistance.
Aureus Corrosive Manipulator.png Aureus Corrosive Manipulator The Aureus Corrosive Manipulator is a very useful pet for many cases especially for distracting and holding enemies in PvE who have corrosive based attacks. Combined with the right elites, the Manipulators can be devastating.
Corrosive Teeth.png Corrosive Teeth Corrosive teeth is a great weapon for both PvE and PvP. It has good DPS and is great against enemies which are far away and have a lot of shield. Combined with the long range and very low power usage it has, it's a great weapon.
Death Cloud.png Death Cloud Deathcloud, a weapon available from completion of a mission chain. It is powerful and does relatively high damage. For a low level player in Fulzar it is a godsend, doing great damage and DoT while healing the player itself. Perfect for bosses like The Cleaner and Mother Brain as it does damage while healing you. A wonderful weapon and a must have for any corrosive set-up user.
Infested Missiles.png Infested Missiles Infested missiles is an effective Nova Attack weapon as well as a Missile. It does a reasonable amount of damage, but more importantly It has a large area of effect that lowers the kinetic resistance of your enemy, therefore it is commonly used in conjunction with kinetic weapons. The missiles can be detonated by an Energy Nova but the large AoE ring can still damage and debuff you. It has good velocity, guidance, and range, and relatively decent power cost.
Locust Hatchery.png Locust Hatchery Locust Hatchery is a great weapon with great DoT, especially when combined with Rate Of Fire and Flat artifacts. But there is one BIG downside: They can be destroyed by Energy Nova, Nuke Launcher and other blast wave weapons.
Moth Queen Spit Gland.png Moth Queen Spit Gland The Moth queen Spit Gland is a great DoT weapon in PvE and PvP especially with the RoF elite which makes it fire about 3 times faster than without elites. The Moth queen Spit Gland has a few major issues though: its projectiles are very slow and the projectiles can be destroyed by Energy Nova, Nuke Launcher and other blast wave weapons
Nexar Blaster.png Nexar Blaster The Nexar Blaster is a awesome weapon to use when having the DoT elite tech, with its High Stacking DOTs (from the elite tech) makes it very dangerous in PvP and quite devastating in PvE, Totally worth getting and truly a powerful weapon.

Without using the corrosive burn elite tech, it isn't a strong weapon, to be honest, it's really weak without it, almost underpowered.

Particle Gun.png Particle Gun One of the easiest to use weapons in the whole game combined with high fire rate and decent damage per projectile this is a weapon that low levels all the way to high levels use, Early on its a good PvP and PvE weapon, Later on it loses its usefulness in PvE because of how much health and shield high level enemies have, But that doesn't make it a bad PvP weapon because when it's combined with an armor debuff it can destroy next to anyone if you can last long enough fighting them.
Piraya.png Piraya They are fish that can leach health..And also have a decent amount of damage when used with high rate of fire setups making it a weapon used from low levels in early PvE and PvP and even high level PvP matches as it has excellent leach and guidance with flat damage setups and high rate of fire it becomes a deadly weapon able to keep it's user alive for a while.
Plankton Siphon Gland.png Plankton Siphon Gland The plankton siphon gland is most useful as a utility weapon for survival against high damage enemies. Though it does very little damage, it can leech an incredible amount, and is most useful for this ability. If you use Energy weapons then this weapon with Add Energy Damage Elite Tech can heal a player taking even tons of damage. Perfect for farming in Mitrilion Left Side where the Dread Algae and Dread Moths are as they do massive damage and this weapon can help that damage back relatively quickly.
Prismatic Crystal.png Prismatic Crystal The Prismatic Crystal is an extremely rare drop rate weapon, but it sure is worth to get it! But because it's so incredibly rare, it is recommended to buy the Crystal ship. It has great DPS and especially Very good DoT. Prismatic Cystals are great for both Pve and PvP. You often see people use the extra projectiles elite or the DoT elite, but in most cases, the extra projectile elite is the best one by far.
Prismatic Easter Egg.png Prismatic Easter Egg Can be a huge damage dealer, but its 360 degree burst firing pattern makes it hard to set traps. Prismatic Easter Egg is most often seen in PvP and in Domination, In Domination it's great to use Prismatic Easter Egg because it can block off all the entrances to a capture point, giving the defenders a huge advantage.

Prismatic Easter Egg is also often used combined with Nuke Launcher, People fire a burst of Eggs and than use the nuke to explode them, doing huge damage to anyone close.

Skeletor Lightning.png Skeletor Lightning This weapon is arguably the strongest corrosive damage weapon after Nexar Blaster was nerfed, Having an amazing Damage over time effect combined with high stacking rate makes it an excellent Damage over time stacker only matched by the energy damage Plasma Gun, In an attack speed and corrosive % artifact setup with the attack speed elite tech this weapon can easily reach the million damage over time range in a short time.
Vindicator Blaster.png Vindicator Blaster A good weapon for most things, its decent DPS and very low power cost can be useful for many players.

The 50% damage bonus when the enemy is afflicted by Vindicator Cluster Missiles is extremely useful, especially because it's really easy to hit an enemy with the cluster missiles. Overall its a very good weapon.

Player review 08/06/16 (I_Am_Jarvis): I used this weapon on my newly bought vindicator at level 6, expecting it to be good, but it is not, if you are going to upgrade a weapon on the Vindicator, make sure it is not this one...

Vindicator Cluster Missiles.png Vindicator Cluster Missiles The Vindicator Cluster Missiles is a good weapon for both PvE and PvP, especially because it debuffs enemy damage by 50% and it makes the Vindicator Blaster do 50% more damage.

But it has one big downside: It's extremely good targeting can be 'too good', for example when you want to aim to the one enemy, it can target the other enemy behind you and kill that one. That issue can be extremely annoying everywhere when you use Vindicator Cluster Missiles.

Vindicator Projector.png Vindicator Projector The Vindicator Projector is a nice weapon with nice armor debuff, and it takes way less time to charge it up compared to the other projector weapons and it also has more velocity! That means it doesn't have the same problem all other projector weapons have: It's hard to hit an enemy, especially fast-moving enemies. But... the damage is way lower compared to other projectors and it also has way less range... and That means that Chrono Beam still is better to use than Vindicator Projector in this case. And that makes people use Chrono way more often than Projector weapons. This problem can be partially fixed with the Direct Damage elite tech, tough it will never be as strong as the other projectors.
Wasp Bait.png Wasp Bait This giant wasp is great for tanking enemy fire and distracting enemies or other players. It has quite decent damage and especially good elites for both PvP and PvE. Especially the reduce damage elite which is great for PvP and Co-op Survival.
Energy Weapons
Weapon Review
Algae Nova Gland.png Algae Nova Gland Formally used as a PvP weapon due to it's high damage over time, This weapon lost it's use in PvP due to it being nerfed and most players having more health and shield, But it's still used in PvE as a corrosive debuffer with the corrosive debuff elite tech to replace the non-instant effect of Nuke Launcher.
Aureus Beam.png Aureus Beam The crown prince of the sniper weapons of the game, Very high damage per hit makes this weapon a weapon to be fearful off and a must have to energy PvP players who prefer to do long range combat.

It's energy debuff makes it even stronger than the Chrono Beam. The Aureus Beam also has very useful elites to make the weapon even stronger.

Aureus Energy Manipulator.png Aureus Energy Manipulator The Aureus Energy Manipulator is a very useful pet for many cases, especially for distracting and holding enemies in PvE who have Energy based attacks.

It also is a very good pet in PvP because it does good damage and is hard or impossible to kill with some weapon setups. Combined with the right elites, the Manipulators can be devastating.

Aureus Lightning.png Aureus Lightning Aureus lightning is a very strong lightning weapon with very good aim arc. It also has a very strong armor debuff and shield leach. This weapon can be absolutely devastating in PvE, and especially in PvP. To make it even stronger in PvP, add the 'Increased burn elite tech damage up to 1000%' elite tech. When using that elite tech in PvP, it absolutely destroys anything.
Beamer.png Beamer The Beamer is very easy to get, and is often overlooked by people who tried it at a low level when they had just started to play. In fact, it has two main uses at higher levels: a utility weapon with the armor debuff elite tech, and as a main weapon, with the right elite techs. It's building focus trait makes it unique and very useful.
Broadside.png Broadside Broadside is a very strong 100% Energy weapon that shoots sideways, it is very good against large targets because you can 'go into them' and let both the sides attack it, devastating the enemy. The Broadside is a difficult weapon to master, but it can destroy any player in PvP when used correctly. In most cases the best elite tech to use on Broadside is the Rate of Fire elite. Another possible downside is the loud obnoxious noise it makes. This can be fixed by turning off the sound of course... But most players don't like that
Chrono.png Chrono Beam The crown prince of the sniper weapons of the game, High damage per hit and High burn damage makes this weapon a weapon to be fearful off and a must have to energy PvP players who prefer to do long range combat.
Cluster Missiles.png Cluster Missiles Cluster Missiles are part of the almost universally horrible class of weapons that fire missile projectiles.
Concussion Sphere.png Concussion Sphere Unique in the world of Astroflux, the Concussion Sphere projectiles debuff enemy attack damage by up to 30% for up to 10 seconds. This makes the weapon fantastic in conjunction with high armor, which the Tanker A1 happens to have. Whoever designed this weapon did a fantastic job. On top of that, the projectiles are fast enough to hit most enemies, and the auto-aim and double-shot formation ensure you'll land shots accurately at a surprisingly good rate. On top of all that, the projectiles bounce between enemies, and even your own ship, allowing you to multiply your DoT by hitting the same enemy repeatedly (your own Sphere projectiles bounce off of you, but don't hurt you), so this weapon doesn't even really fit the label of 'low damage weapon.' It's actually just great all-around, and extremely useful against a wide range of high-damage enemies. The final piece of the puzzle: the Power cost is low enough that you can actually use Concussion Spheres without too much trouble.
Cruise Missiles VX-23.png Cruise Missiles Powerful weapon, deals decently high damage, the main drawback is the slow speed and the fact that it can be nova ed. Making this weapon weak if a player is fast and has a nova weapon which is very common nowadays. Can be useful with the Burn Elite Techs but only if you can land a hit, which is the problem. Most missiles types are quite bad with their bad guidance and damage, but the Cruise Missiles deal decent damage and have a better guidance than most missiles. Again the slow speed of them makes them quite easy to avoid.
Eagle Needle.png Eagle Needle Needles were once a laughingstock for most players, horrible aim and minimal damage. The recent April 18 2016 update changes that. One of the most overused PvP weapons it can reach hundreds of thousands of dps while leeching 50% of the shields you damage. 100% shield leech if you add the Elite Tech. Makes the Eagle Eye a very good ship for its price even if the stats for the ship itself are not too great, the weapon combined with the high shield regen already on the Eagle Eye make a devastating combo. The Needles are transferable in the Pirate Bay.
Firework Launcher.png Firework Launcher The Firework Launcher has decent damage but has to get direct hits to do good damage, The aim assist is decent... but not great. And that makes it also quite hard to use. Firework launcher can be really useful against large groups of enemies when having extra projectile elite. The worst thing of all is that when you move fast, with speed boost for example, you can kill yourself with Firework launcher. Firework Launcher also makes enemies nova.... but on a very weird way (they only nova once).

Final Verdict: A decent weapon that can be good for low leveled players and for PvE, but isn't great for higher leveled players and for PvP.

Flame Trail.png Flame Trail The Flame Trail can be a very difficult weapon to use, but when mastered it can be devastating, especially in PvP since the April 18 2016 update. In PvP it can destroy any enemy it touches with it's insanely high 100% Energy Burn. It also has a low power cost. Together with the extra burn elites, it becomes even stronger. Overall its a great weapon. But medium-hard to master.
Flamethrower.png Flamethrower The flamethrower is useful mainly for its high damage over time component, making the damage per second much higher over time then the tooltip says. The flamethrower can be used for mass crowd control or just killing single things. The major downside to using flamethrower is the super high power use unless you're using attack speed artifacts.
Gatling Laser.png Gatling Laser This is one of the rare cases where a weapon only becomes strong at all when you get stronger, At first Gatling laser is a useless weapon as it falls in comparison to other rapid fire weapons, But when you wait and get stronger bit by bit this weapon turns from so weak its laughable to so strong it makes you scarred, Fully upgraded with Attack speed elite tech and good energy and attack speed artifacts this is a weapon that makes its user a power to be reckoned with.
Hell Fire.png Hell Fire At first just a typical rapid fire energy and kinetic weapon with a decent amount of burn damage, Because its only that unless you're smart enough to know that it can stack dot as quickly and effectively as a Plasma Gun if you use it correctly and with a decently high direct damage, The weapon is deadly in both PvP and PvE.
Hell Flames.png Hell Flames Hell Flames is one of the stronger PVP weapons out there. While being a rare weapon to get, only coming from pods, it is very rewarding once you do get this weapon. It's true power lies in the DoT this weapon can apply to enemies relatively quickly. Its firing physics are similar to the Flamethrower and Shadowflames, but it has a much shorter range, and shoots in a cone instead of a line. While not super effective in PVE, seeing as most enemies will have much greater health than Hell Flames' dot, especially in Vorsran, Hell Flames can be a beast of a weapon in PVP
Horror Nuke.png Horror Nuke The Horror Nuke is just like the Nuke Launcher, it's the perfect weapon for PvE to destroy large crowds of weak enemies. Horror Nuke is a heavy hitter weapon with high power usage. It has many great elites like the 50% Corrosive resist debuff, which can make it one of the best Corrosive debuff weapons there are. The Corrosive debuff elite tech is especially great against Exector combined with Corrosive Lightning. That's because the nuke instantly debuffs every part instead of just one part like most guns do, because Horror Nuke has a very large blast wave. And after using the Horror Nuke, you can easily fire Corrosive Lightning and finish Executor off with it. Another great elite are the The add % Damage elites, because they actually add up 200% damage instead of 100%, which makes the nuke an extremely hard hitter.
Horror Seed.png Horror Seed Horror Seed may seem at first seems like an energy variant of the good old Blaster soon afterwards you would find out that it is one of the strongest semi-rapid fire weapons in the whole game, Combined with the burst and decent fire rate and very useful elite techs, You got yourself a match-made in heaven that can be used for a multitude of different tasks all the way from PvP with the energy burn elite tech to PvE with the armor debuff elite tech and shield regen stop elite tech. Horror seed also is an exact copy of Plasma Blaster but with a different texture. In overall: It's a very useful weapon with the right elite techs and artifacts, Use the armor debuff elie tech if you can't get your hands on a decent armor debuffer that you like.
Hunter-killer Launcher.png Hunter-killer Launcher Great utility weapon to stop shield regen. Very useful in Vorsran to debuff shields and keep a mob aggro-ed on you with the burn ET. Not a weapon you want to spend 3.3 million steel one for Elite Techs, as it does its job well at Level 6.
Kinetic Phase Blade.png Kinetic Phase Blade Kinetic Phase Blade is a ship specific weapon, on the Nexar Blade(Ship). Great for both PvE and PvP. For PvE, its high damage along with the 500% focus bonus at Level 6 allow it do massive damage as it focuses on a single target. Not a great weapon for lots of mobs as it takes time for it get the focus. It is essentially a shorter range, more damage Beamer. Since it is both Kinetic and Energy Damage type, highly recommended to use Infested Missiles and Void Tentacles to debuff resistances of enemies. It has VERY low power consumption which makes it great as the ship it is on has trouble shooting the high damage and higher power use weapons such as Nexar Light Wave Generator and Scatter Shell for extended periods of time.
Larva Lightning.png Larva Lightning This is what you call a lightning, That was what i thought when i first used the lightning, It looks like a red lightning gun with shorter range but it's actually an extremely powerful PvP and PvE weapon dealing pure energy damage and a fast stacking damage with the right artifacts this would make the larva the best PvP ship in the game which was proved in the past by a lot of players.
Lightning Gun.png Lightning Gun The Lightning gun is a weapon great for starters and is also a weapon great for end-game players. The weapon is 100% energy damage and has good auto-targeting and low power usage, and is also very easy to get, which makes it a great weapon for low leveled players. Lightning gun becomes useful again at high levels when using the high Burn elite.
M2 Launcher.png M2 Launcher This is one of the decent missile weapons, Good guidance with the guidance elite tech combined with decent damage per hit and a speedy missile that the only way to avoid is nova, This is a great PvP weapon used in an Attack speed and energy/kinetic damage setup this weapon makes people run for there lives.
Mine Launcher.png Mine Launcher Mine Launcher can be a huge damage dealer, but its 360 degree burst firing pattern makes it hard to set traps sometimes. Mine Launcher is most often seen in PvP and in Domination, In Domination it's great to use Mine Launcher because it can block off all the entrances to a capture point, giving the defenders a huge advantage. Mine Launcher is also often used combined with Nuke Launcher, People fire a burst of mines and than use the nuke to explode them, doing huge damage to anyone close.
Missile Launcher.png Missile Launcher Missile weapons in Astroflux are almost universally horrible as a weapon type. The basic Missile Launcher is the first example of that. The primary weakness of missiles is their slow travel rate combined with the fact that Energy Nova detonates them, so half the enemies in the game will simply pop your missiles and ignore them. The second weakness of all missiles is that, like most Astroflux weapons, their Power cost is just too high to use effectively. The Missile Launcher in particular has very low damage, made worse by its dual damage type that halves the effectiveness of +% damage artifacts. Trying to use this weapon will make you feel frustratingly powerless.
Moth Zero Gland.png Moth Zero Gland The Moth Zero Gland can be a very high hit weapon with full Energy % artifacts in PvP. But even then, not many people use this weapon. Moth Zero Gland can be a cheap way to disable shield regen. It disables it for 8 seconds at level 0, making it pretty useful for people without the smart gun or other shield debuffing weapons while fighting Nezerian Dreadnoughts and other enemies with massive shield regen.
Nexar Bomb.png Nexar Bomb The Nexar Bomb is a weapon similar to that of the bombs used by the Nexar Stealth bombers. It does very high kinetic and energy damage, with decent DOT. Totally worth getting but rare drop.
Nexar Light Wave Generator.png Nexar Light Wave Generator This is a magnificent weapon for dealing deadly amounts of damage to enemies, A energy damage god only outmatched by the Kinetic Phase Blade in terms of damage, But even after the recent nerf this weapon with the extra projectiles elite tech still does a ton of damage in short amounts of time, Currently thought after due to it being a dropping free weapon and because it can kill mostly everything in the game.
Nexar Projector (weapon).png Nexar_Projector_(Weapon) The Nexar Projector is a nice weapon with nice armor debuff, but the downside is that it takes some time to charge and it is hard to hit an enemy with it, especially fast-moving enemies. Chrono Beam for example doesn't have this problem, and that makes people use Chrono way more often than Projector weapons. This problem can be fixed with the speed elite tech, but that means you have to sacrifice damage elites for a speed elite tech.
Nuke Launcher.png Nuke Launcher The Nuke Launcher is the perfect weapon for PvE to destroy large crowds of weak enemies. Nuke Launcher is a heavy hitter weapon with high power usage. It has many great elites like the 50% Corrosive resist debuff, which can make it one of the best Corrosive debuff weapons there are. The Corrosive debuff is especially great against Executor combined with Corrosive Lightning. That's because the nuke instantly debuffs every part instead of just one part like most guns do, because Nuke Launcher has a very large blast wave. And than you can easily fire Corrosive Lightning and finish Executor off. Another great elite are the The add % Damage elites, because they actually add up 200% damage instead of 100%, which makes the nuke an extremely hard hitter. Scroll down the page to find more info about the elite tech discussion. Overall the Nuke Launcher is a very great weapon to have.
Photonic Blaster.png Photonic Blaster One of the greatest rapid fire PvP energy weapons, Not seen very much after the Attack speed update, But it still holds the same if not more punch that it had before, It could be used as a PvE weapon early on if you get Retro early but after that it's true power is it's PvP abilities.
Piercing Gun.png Piercing Gun The Piercing Gun is a decent weapon, not great in PvE, but it's quite nice in PvP. Especially now it's way stronger since the april 18th 2016 update. It is is often seen with the 40% energy resist debuff elite tech for PvE or with the extra projectiles elite in PvP. Overall it's quite a nice weapon to have.
Pixi Launcher.png Pixi Launcher This is bottom of the barrel of weapons BAD, No amount of good artifacts and/or steel can make this weapon strong enough it has one of the worst guidance in the game making any enemy or player that know how to fly simply dodge it or nova it.
Plasma Blaster Portal.png Plasma Blaster At first this weapon seems like an energy variant of the good old Blaster soon afterwards you would find out that it is one of the strongest rapid fire weapons in the whole game, Combined with the burst and decent fire rate and extremely useful elite techs, You got yourself a match-made in heaven that can be used for a multitude of different tasks all the way from PvP with the energy burn elite tech to PvE with the armor debuff elite tech and shield regen stop elite tech
Plasma Flares HG-168.png Plasma Flares The Plasma Flares is a great weapon to use to get rid of missiles. It also destroys other things that no other weapons can destroy, like Flak Shell, Death Cloud and even both ram missile types!!! The best part of it is that it use no power at all and does quite nice damage and has very good elite techs. for example the 50% damage reduce elite!
Plasma Gun.png Plasma Gun This is the prince of the damage over time weapons of the game, Having high rate of fire combined with multiple projectiles make this the ultimate stacking DoT weapons, Highly useful in both PvP and PvE.

If you have Infested Missiles and your shield regeneration can handle the Renegade Tanker's Nova, try this: Keep the Tanker from shooting with Infs and bathe him in plasma. Just make sure, the dot chain does not break. Xticks 14:03, 26 July 2016 (CEST)

Plasma Torpedos.png Plasma Torpedos A hard to master long range slow moving projectile based weapon, With massive burn damage and a massive direct damage from both the Torpedos this makes it a must have for long range combat, That is if you can master it which is easier said than done as the projectiles are very slow and hard to aim perfectly, But if mastered this becomes a deadly weapon. Be warned however that this weapon will have trouble hitting anything!
Shadow Blaster.png Shadow Blaster The Shadow Blaster is a very strong weapon in PvP as well in PvE. The most useful elite tech is the armor debuff one, with this elite tech, the blaster can reach up to tens of thousands armor debuff a second. This can be overpowered against high armored enemies like ??? , especially combined with the anti-health regeneration skill that the weapon has. The 40% damage boost when the target has been hit by Shadow Projector is nice, but not good because the projector is really hard to use, especially against fast moving enemies.
Shadow Bomb.png Shadow Bomb This weapon is awesome against everything, it's insane damage in a hit can destroy pretty much anything, especially large groups of weak enemies. Even after the hit it is really deadly, It's insane DoT will just break another player or enemy. On top of that, you can fire 3 bombs at once! To make Shadow Bombs even stronger, just add the DoT elite or the direct damage elite tech. HIGHLY effective against bosses such as The Cleaner and Mother Brain.
Shadow Flames.png Shadowflames An extremely powerful weapon; it's very useful in many situations. It's high impact damage make it ideal for "burst" damage. Can be used to high effect in Fulzar for both sides. Be sure to carry the Void Tentacles to maximize damage. For PvP it's not as good because of its slow speed but if the target is using a slow ship like the Tanker A1 then it can be very effective.
Kinetic Weapons
Weapon Review
Blaster.png Blaster As the archetypal basic weapon, the Blaster is surprisingly decent. There isn't much to be said about it, except that things will die eventually if you point the Blaster at them. It has no special piercing or AoE abilities, so it'll eventually have trouble with late-game multi-part enemies and swarms, but it deals decent DPS in almost all general situations, unlike many niche weapons. I was surprised to find the Blaster still killing things in systems like Neurona and Cynapsian when I tested it to review. I also realized that a straight-shooting decent-DPS decent-range weapon that you can just point and shoot is actually pretty rare in the galaxies of Astroflux. The Prismatic Crystal is probably directly better, but the Blaster is free!
Aureus Kinetic Manipulator.png Aureus Kinetic Manipulator The Aureus Kinetic Manipulator is a very useful pet for many cases, especially for distracting and holding enemies in PvE who have Kinetic based attacks. It also is a very good pet in PvP because it does good damage and is hard or impossible to kill with some weapon setups. Combined with the right elites, the Manipulators can be devastating.
Astro Lance.png Astro Lance Lances, one of the most skill requiring weapon in this game. Only obtainable by buying the Scartrow. This weapon was once one of the strongest weapons due it's high impact damage and its high stacking DoT. It still is matter of fact, capable of reaching high damage and high DoT.
Boomerang.png Boomerang The Boomerang is very close to being a great weapon. It has long reach, decent speed, and a great spread. Each boomerang projectile can do several thousand damage, so armor is not as great a factor as it is for other 100% Kinetic weapons like the Gatling Gun. Unfortunately, the projectiles don't pierce, and the power cost is far too high for common use. There may be decent uses for it, such as quickly wiping out moderately sized groups of enemies with a medium level of health, but, more often than not, this weapon will quickly use up all your Power and leave you defenseless. Recent update has taken away the maximum cap on projectiles so you can fire as many as you want!
C-4.png C-4 A great armor debuffer that can be used for different things all the way from killing bugs to be used as a utility weapon against the strongest enemies in the game, Combined with the heal/regen techs it becomes the perfect armor debuffer, Only matched by the Target Painter.
Golden Flak Cannon.png Flak Cannon Flak Cannon is an awesome weapon which is almost the same as Plasma Gun but kinetic with more DPS. It is a great weapon for all uses, especially against high armored enemies or enemies with enormous health like Nezerian Regius Exterminatore The best elite tech options are the Extra damage over time elite, the extra projectiles elite or the extra % Damage elites.. In most cases (almost all of them actually), the extra projectiles elite tech is the best option to use.
Flak Shell.png Flak Shell Flak Shells are high damage 100% Kinetic Damage projectiles which split into 10 more when the main projectile stops. The main projectile alone already has a nice DPS. but when you count the 10 splits to it, it's insane. The DPS meter only counts the main projectile, but remember, it can get 10 times higher than it says. But for that you have to get perfect shots, that means you have to hit an enemy with all 10 projectiles at once, and because the main projectile range of the one main projectile can be shorter or longer than the next main projectile the weapon fires, it is one of the hardest weapons in the game to master.

But when mastered. it is one of the highest DPS weapons in the game. The best elite tech to choose is the Attack Speed elite tech, this makes the weapon fire twice as fast as without the elite tech.

Golden Flak Cannon.png Golden Flak Cannon Golden Flak Cannon is an awesome weapon which is almost the same as Plasma Gun but kinetic with more DPS. It is the exact copy from Flak Cannon but fires shuriken-looking projectiles instead of Big Metal Scrap-looking projectiles.
Heavy Canon.png Heavy Cannon The heavy cannon is a strong impact damage weapon which is used to deal damage fast and leave a hole in the enemies health and armour values. It has been changed several times to where it has been useful but now, due to the change in armour reduction it has become a lot less powerful. In PvP the 2 second window for armour debuff is tiny, as your enemy can easily harden their shields for the same duration or remove the debuff completely using their repair (F) ability. Unbreakable armour tech also nullifies this weapon further, as you can now set your own limit of armour.
Golden Ram Missiles SE-24.png Golden Ram Missiles SE-24 The Golden Ram Missiles SE-24 is a very powerful weapon at level 6. It pierces straight through it's target and just like the sail fish, once it's active it won't stop attacking until it's target is dead. then it seeks out another target. It also stops when it reaches it's maximal range or attack amount. it's guidance is similar to that of the cruise missiles. Very difficult to dodge. The Golden Ram Missiles have the same range and damage as the normal ram missiles ( Ram Missiles X-22 ) but they do not have reduced damage in PvP like the Ram Missiles X-22 have.
Gatling Gun.png Gatling Gun Though armor will mean null for this weapon, it is still pretty good for a kinetic-based setup, just be sure to de-buff the armor with Razor, Heavy Cannon, etc. before firing and that should do the trick most of the time. Also a great weapon just for the fun of shredding down low level enemies and players without armor.
Jaws.png Jaws Jaws was for its time an extremely strong weapon due to it's high damage and quick attack speed, But even after several high damage weapons were released jaws still holds a spot in the Astroflux list of strong weapons if used correctly with the right artifacts and high attack speed and kinetic damage artifacts.
Locust Hatchery.png Locust Hatchery Locust Hatchery is a great weapon with great DoT, especially when combined with Rate Of Fire and Flat artifacts. It is a great weapon anywhere you go. But there is one BIG downside: They can be destroyed by Energy Nova, Nuke Launcher and other blast wave weapons. Which makes the Locust Hatchery a lot less useful in many cases, especially in PvP.
Moth Queen Spit Gland.png Moth Queen Spit Gland The Moth queen Spit Gland is a great DoT weapon in PvE and PvP. especially with the RoF elite which makes it fire about 3 times faster than without elites. The Moth queen Spit Gland has a few major issues though: It's projectiles are very slow and the projectiles can be destroyed by Energy Nova, Nuke Launcher and other blast wave weapons.
Nexar Bomb.png Nexar Bomb The Nexar Bomb is a weapon similar to that of the bombs used by the Nexar Stealth bombers. It does very high kinetic and energy damage, with decent DOT. Totally worth getting but rare drop.
